Rugby Dinner Presentation

As a former Australian Rugby Union representative, Dr Greg Shambrook was honoured recently to present the Captain’s jersey at a special pre-match dinner with the Wallabies here in Melbourne prior to the second test against England.

This blessing was multiplied for a number of reasons. Dr Shambrook’s sons, Liam and Joel, were invited to attend the dinner with the Wallabies. Greg was also able to renew an old friendship with the current Coach, John Connolly, whom he hadn’t seen for 30 years. He was presented with a Wallaby jersey signed by the team.

The photo above shows Dr Greg with Sterling Mortlock, who became the 73rd Captain in Wallaby history and Greg’s sons with George Gregan who entered the history book by becoming the world’s most capped player. A record 120 tests.
