He has recently completed a Masters degree in Clinical Chiropractic during which he undertook a research study into the effects of chiropractic treatment on patient’s health and wellbeing. His practice interests include families, sports injuries, nutrition and rehabilitation. He has an interest in extremity conditions (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles) and is experienced in a range of manual, low force and massage techniques and is a certified Activator Methods practitioner.

With that in mind his intention is to address these areas when necessary while attending to a patient’s health. He is a strong proponent of regular exercise and proper nutrition and is passionate about seeing people make positive healthy lifestyle choices.
Joel is married with two adorable children (born October 2006 and June 2008). He loves playing music and will tend to his drought ridden vegetable garden every so often. He also has a passion for social justice issues and hopes to eventually establish a multidisciplinary community health clinic made up of volunteer health workers.
Keryn Shambrook
CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT
My chiropractic journey started 30 years ago after a car accident. I went to a Medical Doctor and was prescribed drugs. I thought this was my only option so I started taking them regularly. I was needing pain killers at least 3 times a week. The pain always returned and I was noticing a skin rash. A friend suggested that I see a Chiropractor. I was desperate so I went along.
After having a thorough examination and Xrays my Chiropractor was able to establish that I had nerve pressure coming from joints that were not moving properly in my neck. He gently adjusted my neck and put me on a program of care. Not only did my headaches and neck pain go but I noticed my rash, that had been there for 4 months, had completely gone. My sleep patterns were much improved also. I couldn’t believe how good it felt not to be reliant on pain killers any more.
Judy Lander
REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST
Judy comes with a wealth of experience having practiced in her field since 1976. Since completing her first certificate 30 years ago Judy has completed four levels through Continuing Professional Education. The majority of the time Judy has worked with Doctors of Chiropractic. “I place
emphasis on the preventative aspect of massage and the importance of correct spinal alignments to promote optimal healing for my clients” says Judy.
Certainly from a Chiropractic perspective, Remedial Massage’s restoration of muscle tone and balance is as important as regular exercise, a balanced nutritious diet and a nervous system free from interference. What some people may consider is a luxury is actually a necessity in restoring and maintaining optimal health.
